Dear memories

You are the things I can no longer feel
The times I can no longer experience but the experiences I cannot forget
For that I thank you
My recollections are like seeing a movie on a screen
Or even being the main character inside of a third person dream

I'm most thankful for my ability to replay you at any moment
Like I recorded you on Tivo
Or I hit the rewind on my favorite video on Vevo type in a query
And pull up whatever You keep me entertained so long on my days off
I never want to leave home Especially when the weather isn't ideal
But guess what I can remember a time when it was better
I can remember a time when my heart was in a place far From my rib cage
And all I could do is write it letters
They say home is where your heart is
I guess i was in a long distance relationship with my house
If my memory serves me correctly
I can recall a time I solved a similar dilemma
Whenever the situation got a little messy
Thanks for saving me the trouble of coming up with a new solution all over again
And as I recollect bad times
Thank you for reminding me that the outcome was not what I desired
Once is enough for me
When my pockets getting thin and I forget
I'm on a budget and I'm thinking hmmmm dinner and a movie
Thanks for reminding me that lunch is enough for me
(Chuckles) That made me laugh a bit
Because I recalled all these moments
As I transcribed these words onto paper
Poetry has always been a beautiful thing
As I recall my idea of fine dining
I remember sitting at a candlelit table in the Cortex
Ordering the biggest item off the menu I said uh
Let me get a Uhhhh Hippocampus with a Hypothalamus on the rocks
If my memory serves me correctly then I might leave a Good tip
